In plain words
God is truth. First of all we must recognise such a principle. Who is the God before our very eyes in this world? He who is the embodiment of Satya, none other. Worship this Satya. Follow Satya. Practise Satya. Because truth is God. It is, and no one can say that it is not. You may say there is no God, but no one can say there is no Satya. This Satya is the same for all lands, all religions, all castes, all genders. You cannot divide Satya by saying this is American Satya or Indian Satya, this is Kashmiri Satya or Pakistani Satya. ‘Ekaṃsat viprā bahudā vadanti.’ Satya is only one. For the people of all lands, of all times, of all tribes, Satya is only one. That is why God is one.
The Principle of God and the Principle of Prema Are Not Different
We worship the one God Himself with many forms and names. All these are for the sake of our delusion. Because man has stood as the very embodiment of delusion from time without beginning, he performs all these sādhanas for this delusion. As long as such delusion is in man, Brahman will not come to us. The very day man's delusion is rooted out, on that day itself Brahman becomes manifest. In every small matter, in delusion, we fall prey to many troubles. So first of all we must put delusion far away. To believe that God is separate, that He is other than oneself, is a great mistake. Once you have become one with God, you can no longer be separated. Take all the water in your pot and go and pour it into the sea. All the water of your pot takes the form of the sea. But afterwards, is it possible to separate that water? Impossible. You chewed a fruit well, ate it and swallowed it. It is not possible to bring that fruit back again in the form of fruit. The air we breathed out has joined the clouds. But is it possible to bring back again the air that has joined the clouds? No, no. In the same way, we cannot draw back again the principle of Prema that has become one with God.
