In plain words
So, through Prema alone, we must worship God, meditate on Him, adore Him, and try to attain this principle of Prema.
Holy Company Brings Every Aim to Fulfilment
But though you too are an embodiment of Prema, until you recognise that divinity, we must indeed follow this path. We must indeed do these sādhanas. You have set out on a journey to go to Bangalore. Until you reach Bangalore, your journey simply has to go on. Once you have reached Bangalore, stop your journey. Until then, though, you simply have to do sādhana, you have to do service. We have to take part in village service; we have to be in all of it. Today some people say, "Why all this Bhakti and prapatti at so young an age? One can remember God after retiring." What, will you do it then?
At the time when the messengers tug at the noose, crying, "Go, go," at the time when they say, in haste, "Put him outside; it is no use now," at the time when wife and children wail aloud, is it possible then to remember the Name of Hari on earth?
Is that when we are to think of it? Will it be possible then? Start early, drive slowly, reach safely. That is how you must do it; but if you say you will remember Him after retiring, who knows what will become of you after retiring? When you cannot do it in your working time, what will you do after retiring? That is why, in the military, they first put you through what they call (recruitment). After first entering the army, we must practise that (recruitment) with effort. When that is over, he gives you a gun and sends you forward. He urges you on to fight that battle. A battle with whom?
