In plain words

Good qualities, good conduct, good behaviour, good reflections, all these, cooked in the heart of man, we serve on the plantain leaf called the body. To whom do we offer this first? Offering it to demons such as bad qualities, bad thoughts, anger, hatred and envy, we then hand the demons' prasāda to God. Offering it to such demons, and after the demons have eaten their fill, we offer the prasāda that is left over to God. Through this very thing, in this modern age of today, people fall prey to much unrest, give way to troubles, losses and sorrows, and pass their lives. We must not make the offering to bad qualities. We must put the bad qualities far away and make the offering first to good qualities. O God! O God who dwells in the seat of my heart! O God, the embodiment of my Prema! O God, who is my all! O God, full of compassion! Here, I offer You the five kinds of dishes and the sweet rice that are my qualities.

This tender age is very precious, like a sweet fruit. Such a sweet fruit of the mind, the fruit of the heart, must be offered to God. If you say you will worship God some day after the body has broken down in every way, after the strength of the senses has declined, after you have built up your notions, in old age, it is not possible. start early, drive slowly, reach safely. We must begin prayer to God in the right way at this tender age itself. If you do not enter on so holy a work while the powers of body, mind and spirit are good and strong, when else will you enter on the most holy work? Once the strength of these senses has broken down, what can you do?

When the servants drag at the noose, crying 'Come along, come along!', when the relatives say, 'Quick, quick, put him outside, there is no more use', when wife and children weep and wail, is it in your power to utter the Name of Hari with your lips?

Will it be possible then? No, no. It is supremely needful to remember God to your heart's content, to the full, while you are of this age, with this strength, while this power of the senses is there, and so to be saved and to experience Him. If not,
