Passage 2

In plain words

This divinity is beyond the reach of speech and mind. How are we to recognise this divinity, which is the very form of Prema? In the world a mother loves, a father loves, a wife loves, relatives love. This Prema takes on many kinds of Prema. In this kind of natural Prema, in worldly Prema, in the world of everyday life, Prema takes on many forms. This Prema is without selfishness and without self-interest. Every man must try to love with that very principle with which God loves everyone. Because: ‘Mamaivāṃśo jīvaloke jīvabhūta sanātanaḥ.’ ‘All of you are nothing but My own part,’ said God. So, just as I have loved, you too must love everyone. You must make everyone happy. You must receive the Prema of everyone. But today that is happening nowhere. God's Prema is free of selfishness. God keeps giving a Prema that seeks no fruit. So if man is to give such Prema, he must believe firmly in what is called ‘mamaivāṃśo’. He must clearly recognise the truth that what is in me and what is in you is nothing but God's part. Not only must he recognise it; he must believe it. When he believes it with all his heart, it becomes easy to share this Prema with everyone. If today this sacred, steady, pure principle of Prema is not being shared with the world, it means there is no true faith in the words ‘mamaivāṃśo’. If only there is faith that is truly steady and pure, you cannot help loving. What is this Prema like? It is like a compass. Wherever you set it down, its needle points only to the north. In the same way, divine Prema, in whatever place, in whatever circumstances, in whatever country it may be, stays turned towards God alone. The influence of place, time and person does not touch this Prema in the least. Understanding this sacred principle of Prema is itself the chief sign of divinity.

The Ātma Itself Is the Foundation of All

No one can describe God as being of this form or of that form. A small example. Today man goes through many kinds of experiences at the cinema.
