In plain words
You must set it on the path of Dharma. You must perform karmas. There is no gain in sitting back, saying, ‘He has given us a body, has He not?’ People are making even this body impure. They do not try to recognise for what purpose God gave this body. Loading, unloading: is this what man's body is? Having eaten, you must do sacred karmas before the food is digested. Regard your body as made strong for the sake of doing karma. The food you have eaten must be put into karma. As the food is, so is the head. As the head is, so is God. You must take your food in the proper way. You must eat sāttvic food. You must do sāttvic karmas. You must keep sāttvic company. We must do sāttvic sādhanas. Whoever is in whatever situation, you must mix with your fellow men. As far as you can, strive to do good to society. Do good deeds. Immerse yourself in good conduct. Think good thoughts, and through that: good deeds through the body, good conduct through the heart, good thoughts through the mouth. That itself is trikaraṇa śuddhi. ‘The oneness of these three, heart, hand and mouth, is itself trikaraṇa śuddhi,’ they said. There must be oneness of these three: heart, speech and hand. We must recognise the truth that the human form has come for this very purpose.
Every Action for the Pleasure of God
Whatever work you do, regard it thus: ‘Every action is for the pleasure of God.’ All these are nothing but God's karmas. Nothing can happen without God's command.
Without Your will not even a blade of grass will stir; why speak of this and that? From the ant to Brahmā, it is You alone. Some on earth do not know this, and are not troubled in mind; they swagger mightily, saying they will act with Viveka, but at the end, however great they are, they cannot know what will happen at what hour.
