In plain words
As the fruit of these karmas, even with life in him, he went on living for 56 days on the bed of arrows. We must make our vision very sacred. Right vision, right feeling, right karma, right sādhana. We must take these sacred eyes. Where does this sacred vision come from? There is no change in creation. It lies in your vision. Only through sacred feelings does sacred vision grow. Your vision must be of a sacred kind. Do not look at anyone with a bad eye. Do not listen to bad things about anyone. Do not speak bad words in anyone's presence. Do not think bad thoughts. Do not do bad deeds. When you live in this way, where else is there purity greater than this? Man is most sacred. Man himself is God. Why should man, who is equal to God, turn himself into such a hovel of filth? Why should he make this a meaningless life?
Give Up the Wicked Path
‘Jantūnāṃ narajanma durlabham,’ they said. A human birth is hard to gain. But some people, without any kindness or consideration, are turning lower than demons and killing human beings. These are nothing but the deeds of demons, not the work of men. Born a man, you are turning into a demon. You do only things that pass in a moment, and you enjoy them. But in the future these will bring very dangerous results. So we must enquire well into what lies ahead.
There lies ahead, and very soon, the crocodiles' feast called old age; you cannot move about, your eyes grow dim, on your face wrinkles have formed, your hair has turned grey; calling you an old monkey, the little children titter at you, and you snap at them. Taitai taitai tai, puppet! See the fun of this, a leather puppet!
