In plain words
Only when we make that oneness grow does strength come to us. Making the whole world one, we must make that whole world one with God. Sat is one; the wise speak of it in many ways. ‘Om, the one syllable, is Brahman,’ it was said. We must take up that Akṣara principle. Put these narrow feelings aside and experience the divine Ātma principle. A small example.
Dr. Gadia spoke. ‘Give Shetty health, long life,’ he said. Very good. To wish for the welfare of all is a most noble wish. It is not something that comes because someone asks. Because of Shetty's goodness, Swami Himself keeps giving it to him. This is not something that comes merely by a recommendation. This is not partnership business. His heart and My heart, the two, must be one. Today I am saying it openly, in public. Chiranjeevi Rao and all these people know. Last week letters came from doctors. The Allopathy doctor, Homoeo Doctors, Ayurvedic doctors: they all write letters. ‘Swami, they say You are holding some function here on the 10th. Send Shetty to Madhura at once. He cannot live until the 10th. He will die before then,’ they wrote. I said: by the oneness of the two, his Bhakti and My power, he will surely live on. With such great affection, though that body has wasted so much, though so many illnesses have come, bearing them and enduring them, he comes like that, poor man. That Bhakti itself will protect him. There is nothing else in this world that surpasses the power of God. If you make that power your own, all powers will come into your hands. If you have earned the strength of grace, what can the nine planets do to you? So strive for grace, strive for offering. That alone is true Ānanda, true Prema.
