In plain words

Do not bring anything else. Keep this well in mind; however you go about things, I am happy; only, work with pure Prema in everything. With this Bhakti and Prema, even a small sādhana you do turns into a great one. When Rāma thought how He was to reach Laṅkā, those who shared in Rāma's work were none other than the vānaras gathered there. Who are vānaras? Those with tails are vānaras. Without a tail, a nara. Vā-nara. Vā: vālamu. Cut off the vālamu, and he becomes a nara. Hanumān is a supreme devotee. ‘Swami! Your Name alone can carry us across the ocean.’ With that, they first threw stones into the sea, saying ‘Rāma, Rāma’. Just as Hanumān had said, all the stones floated. But with one stone here and one stone there, how would they cross? They had to work out with effort what name would join the two. When they wrote ‘Rā’ on one stone and ‘ma’ on the second and threw them into the water, the two kept joining together. If we come along thinking ‘Sāirām’, where would a Sāirām stone go? If you write Rā-ma apart, the two join together. We must know this skill. That skill itself is true Bhakti. They turned skill into yoga. How should you remember all these? You must remember calmly. You must stay with a sacred feeling. Everyone keeps asking, ‘Swami has turned 73; how is He?’ My whole secret is three, just three ‘P’s. The first ‘P’ Purity, the second ‘P’ patience, the 3rd ‘P’ perseverence. Because these three are there, I will stay just like this however long it may be. So each and every one must experience these three. We must develop Purity. We must develop patience. Patience itself is the ornament of true devotees. If there is no patience at all, what use is our life? Patience must be our crown. The devotee must stay calm. When there is Purity, patience comes of itself. Without striving with mad, mad feelings, fold away your small, small desires and go on developing only the one divine Prema. Then everything becomes one. We must develop oneness. All this: take out the threads one by one and you can snap them with your fingers. Because they are all joined, how strong it stays! We must make oneness grow.
