In plain words

Only in a Healthy Body Is There a Healthy Mind as Well

We must set this body, in its fullness, on the sacred path. We must set every limb to sacred work. Only then will this body attain strength and contentment. If the body is not healthy, the mind in it will not be healthy. Only in a healthy body is there a healthy mind as well. It is in keeping with the state of a healthy body and mind that the Ātma nourishes the personality. Man's body is the root and support of all Dharmas and all karmas. “Dharmārtha kāma mokṣāṇāṃ ārogyaṃ mūlam uttamam” means: for these goals of man called Dharma, artha, kāma and Mokṣa, health itself is the chief foundation. So, before setting this body to the paths of the spiritual, the moral, the religious, the worldly and the rest, you must guard your health. You must enquire into the root cause of this health breaking down. People are losing their health through endless thoughts, endless worries, endless reading. Some children set themselves to read all the time. If you read too much, ill health comes on. There is a rule for everything. There is a limit to every action. Aristotle, a philosopher of Greece, went on setting out a certain ideal. He went on making researches into the stomach of every person. Through enquiring without limit all the time, and through making researches, in the end ill health came on him too; he fell prey to indigestion and died. In the same way a doctor named Heg went on making many researches into diseases of the heart (heart). Through researching heart diseases all the time, in the end he became a heart patient himself and gave up his life. In any work, in any illness, in any matter at all, we must not enquire beyond measure. The body has come into being as something limited. For this limited body we must use only a limited strength. Do limited work, and gain a limited joy.
