In plain words
Why? Man today is trying to acquire worldly power of intellect. Where does this power of intellect come from? What is the way to the natural, worldly power of intellect? This power of intellect is turning man into a mere machine. Because he is turned into a machine, we think of him as one with great power of intellect. This power of intellect is called information oriented knowledge. But this knowledge is not what matters. Information is not what matters. If true human values are to come, there must be transformation. This information knowledge is turning man into a mere computer. But there is no use in turning into a computer. We must turn into a composer. That itself is human value. What does this composer or computer do? Human values turn man into a composer. But all the physical powers turn him into a mere computer. Today every man likes the computer very much. What is the result of this? In the end we are forgetting our own cleverness. Our true computer is here (in the heart). Forgetting the computer that is close at hand, they pay money, buy one, and try to carry on our affairs with it. Is there any innocence greater than this? If they take two shirts, two pairs of trousers and four handkerchiefs, they press a calculator to see what it costs. They do not put to use the power God has given, the head. The original computer is with us. We must follow that. But today they leave aside the original and follow the artificial. Art is outside and heart is inside. They hope for art, but they do not hope for heart. If we follow the heart, all art comes from the heart itself. Art comes from the heart. Try to recognise this truth. Today there is a great deal to change in the system of education. In the Bāla Vikās way, teachers must find out all such things well, and through the children we must spread them to the world. You must not think yourselves separate. Many men do not take part in it.
