Direct and indirect perception
In science, there are two modes of perception, direct and indirect ( and ). That which is directly perceived (conscious) is , while that which is indirectly perceived (subconscious) is . This difference between direct and indirect perception is similar to the relation between hypnosis and hypnotism.
