In plain words
What is the reason? Man does not think of God. The Name of God alone is what removes every fear.
The Sign of True Bhakti
God has the name Hiraṇyagarbha. Hiraṇya means gold. So only when you have with you the gold that is God can you come by the jewels of Satya, Dharma, Śānti and Prema. When you keep God in your heart, only divine feelings arise in you. However many holes you make in a vessel that holds pāyasam, only pāyasam comes out of every hole, does it not! In the same way, when you fill your heart with the feeling of God, every action you perform will be nothing but divine action. Man today has breath, but no faith. What use is breath without faith? You must have faith in the good. You must always help others, and never do harm to anyone. This itself is the sign of true Bhakti. Bhakti does not mean doing pūjās, bhajans and vratas. All these are merely outward good deeds. However many of these outward good deeds you do, if there is no inner purity, all of it turns impure. For inner purity to come, you must develop Prema.
Everything That Is Seen Is a Form of God!
If you long to see God, worship Him with steady faith, and He will surely appear. You must give no room to the doubt whether He is or is not. For those who say He is, He is. For those who say He is not, He is not. As one's feelings are, so too is the result one receives. Many argue that to believe in a God who is not seen is foolishness. This is a great mistake. Everything our eyes see is none other than a form of God. When you look at the world, which is the form of God, how can you say there is no God? “Īśvara ssarva bhūtānāṃ,” says the Veda. All creatures, even worms and insects, are forms of God! Because you look at Prakṛti with a worldly eye, you do not see God. Give up the worldly outlook and look at this Prakṛti with the feeling of God; God will surely reveal Himself. Who put the fragrance in the flower?
