Pleasure is an interval between two pains. If there is no pain, how then can there be pleasure? Without darkness, brightness has no meaning. Hence have the faith that whatever befalls you is for your own good. If people blame or criticise you, do not get upset. Criticism should spur you to work better, so that later you earn praise. This is a dual world, and pairs of opposites are inevitable in it. However, that does not mean that you should get submerged by duality.
