In plain words
Today unity is lacking among the people of Bhārata; between man and man the fire of hatred is smouldering. Once man has lost human qualities such as kindness, Prema, Satya and forbearance, what use is it that he lives on? To keep hold of vices such as hatred, envy and show, and still say “I am a human being,” is a thing to be ashamed of. One without humanness has no right to call himself a human being. Since you were born as a human being, you must show in your living at least one human quality.
How can those without human qualities, who are forever criticising others, become leaders of the nation? Such people may well be called wreckers of the nation. One who leads the nation must speak well, and speak with love. He must not fall into reviling others. He must recognise that all the faults he sees in others are only the reflection of faults in himself. In truth, no one has the right to go looking for faults in others. One who goes looking for the faults of others is himself a sinner! The mouth was given to speak holy words. The hands were given to do acts of charity and Dharma. The ears were given to listen to good things. So man, who ought to make every limb and every sense fulfil its purpose, is setting them on evil ways.
