Passage 16

In English

Man today aspires for a long life but not for a Divine life. It is common among elders to bless the people with long lives. Of what use is such a long life, if it is bereft of virtues? It is useless to aspire for a long life when we lack the basic necessities of life, food, shelter, and clothing. It is virtues that give meaning to a long life. There is nothing wrong in aspiring for such a long life.
