In plain words
Each one was doing his own work. Then the king understood that God's will is sacred, and that whatever God does is for the good of men.
We must recognise that, whether God gives hardship or gives happiness, it is for our own good. To think of God in hardship and forget Him in happiness is not humanness. We must take hardship and happiness with equanimity. Whatever hardship comes, Prema and faith in God must not slacken in the least.
Peace in the World Comes Not by Prayer but Only by Conduct
Students! Delegates gathered here! Practise at least one or two of the things you have heard, and gain Ānanda yourselves; give Ānanda to the world too. Only then will the prayer you make, “Lokāssamastāḥ sukhino bhavantu,” find its fulfilment. The Sathya Sai Organisations have come into being to uplift the world. All of you are uplifters! So strive for the welfare of the world. Do not confine the things you have heard here merely to words; put them into practice. Here a conference has taken place. You have heard many things and written them down on paper. But I do not believe in mere hearing and writing down. Put it into practice and experience it, My dear ones! Work is Worship. Peace in the world will not come by your prayers, will not come by vows; it comes only by your conduct. So, first of all, do it yourselves and show it. That is true Bhakti, true service. You must make Bhārata full of God, as it was in ancient times. Only then will you be blessed.
