In plain words
You study many subjects and do much research. All this is for selfish ends, not for the welfare of the world. If you want the welfare of the world and the peace of the world, you must do sacred deeds and love your fellow man. If you do not put into practice the Satya, Dharma, Śānti and Prema that spring from the heart, and only speak of them in letters, there is no gain.
Today three kinds of change are urgently needed in the world. The first is Spiritual change, the second Association change (change in society), the third Individual change. All the works SAI does have to do with these. Further, in the word SAI, S means Service, A means Adoration, I means Illumination. That is, the Sai principle is to teach karma, upāsana and Jñāna.
An exemplary conference
Today so many thousands of Sathya Sai Bal Vikas gurus have gathered here. Outside, in many places, many conferences take place. There, if ten thousand delegates come, not even half of them stay in the sessions. But our conference is not like that. All the delegates are taking part with great enthusiasm. I know everything. Even so, as though I did not know, I keep watching from behind, I keep watching from above: is anyone stirring? Is anyone getting up to leave? That is what I watch for. No one stirs. Some, it is true, get up to leave because of bodily discomfort, but no one leaves out of dislike. Everyone is taking part in the conference with great Bhakti and śraddhā. Conferences like this should be held not once a year but three times. We must prepare still more members.
