Know this one thing, and it is enough
Embodiments of Prema! You may have been hurt that I did not speak with you these last two days. But I have been right with you, listening to everything that concerned you. I have no anger and no annoyance with anyone. But: “However much one tells them, they do not listen! How then will they ever come right? However much one talks with them, what is the use?”: this pains the mind. Beyond that, I have no anger. Some cannot recognise this truth. What is the reason? Their intellect is small; my feeling is boundless. How can a small intellect understand a boundless feeling? Modern education is turning into wretched education. Through this very education impurity is growing in the mind. When the mind has become polluted, in what way can man come right? However much you study, however many offices you hold, however great a name you earn, if you cannot come to know what must be known, all of it goes to waste. If you want to live in this world in peace and comfort, it is enough to know: “I am the embodiment of the Ātma, and all are embodiments of the Ātma!” Know this one thing, and only good will come to you. Only because you cannot recognise this subtle secret do you fall prey to sorrow.
