Passage 8

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

From children to elders, everyone has Prema for Swami. Here today, from three in the morning, there has been one great rush to get inside. Would people be so eager for anything else in the world? To see some film they stand in a queue; to go by bus they stand in a queue. But near Swami they do not care even for this queue; they all come pushing; they do not care even for their lives. They are eager, with great Prema, to come forward and see Swami.

Whatever penances you did, whenever it was, whatever sacrifices you performed, however many kinds of sādhana you did: today you have got the chance to enjoy such Ānanda. I love everyone. There is no one I dislike. Only through My Prema have I become worthy of the Prema of so many.

“Take the Prema of Sai, which removes all worries”

Embodiments of Prema! Do not hurt anyone by your words or your deeds. Recognise the truth that what is everywhere, from the atom to the immense, is the Ātma itself. That embodiment of Satya dwells in you yourselves. So what you must know today is the truth “Īśvaraḥ sarva bhūtānāṃ”. Bhavānī is the principle of the body, Śaṅkara the principle of the Ātma. Humanity is the very form of Bhavānī and Śaṅkara joined together. These two always go together, one following the other. Without self-confidence you cannot achieve even the smallest task. So first of all develop self-confidence. If you have it, there is nothing in this world you cannot achieve. To recognise the principle of God you need not do great sādhanas, upāsanas, japa, tapas and dhyāna. To love with the whole heart is enough. Develop faith in God. Bhavānī and Śaṅkara are in your very body. With such a sacred body you must not touch impure, forbidden food. From today, love for God, dread of sin and social morality, these three must grow in you day by day. Only when there is love of God does fear of sin arise. Only then does social morality come about. Only because there is no fear of sin does man fall prey to many worries.
