Passage 1

In plain words

Embodiments of Prema! “Yad dṛśyaṃ tan naśyam.” All the objects and all the forms that the eyes of the skin can see will vanish one day or another. Not only human beings: beasts, birds and wild animals, worms and insects too have eyes of skin. These eyes see only the passing, outward sights; they do not behold the divinity that is eternal and true. Man brings his life to its end in nothing but deeds that pass and are not true. Jñāna alone is eternal and true. Only the one who has that eye of Jñāna is truly a human being. So long as his vision is turned outward, man sees nothing but this outer world, and not the principle of the Ātma. Sooner or later, it is vital that man turn his vision inward and understand the principle of the Ātma. Only to the one who has inner vision does the principle of the Ātma become visible.

The mother is the first God

Every human being has a mother. In ancient times the people of Bhārata always gave the mother great honour. Nowhere in this world is there any Prema greater than a mother's Prema. Many are the sons who won fame that filled the world, through the mother's Prema and the mother's conduct. The future of children, and their strength and abilities, depend on the mother's conduct alone.
