In plain words
Above all he must recognise the principle of the atom itself. If he recognises that, he becomes one who has recognised everything. The atom itself is God. That itself is the principle of life. The very principle of life within the paramāṇu moves throughout the world. Kaṇāda said this very thing. Paramāṇus pervade every place. The sound of the Praṇava that issues from the paramāṇus is also no bigger than an atom. Our mental nature too rests on this alone.
“This body is not Mine; it is yours”
Devotees keep offering prayers. Some ask what result comes of these prayers. Truly, a great deal of good comes about through prayers. Through prayer one can achieve a victory however great; even the impossible becomes easy. A small matter. For ten days My cheek has been badly swollen. I do not take any medicine. Yesterday I noticed this: the eyes of all who came were not going to My face; they were going to My cheek. “It has still not gone down; who knows how much pain Swami is in!” the devotees went on fretting. In the evening, after speaking at the Valedictory function (the closing meeting of the Seva Dal conference), I went inside. The devotees' prayers came in heaps upon heaps: “Swami! Tomorrow is Guru Pūrṇimā. At least by tomorrow You must heal Yourself,” they said. But I made no resolve that it should be healed. Yet when I got up at daybreak there was no pain, no discomfort. The fruit of those very prayers brought about this kind of joy. Many people, without even taking their night meal, kept praying with tears streaming from their eyes. In a single minute My mind fell upon them. I did not think that I should be healed, and I never think so. For, as Sanjay Sahni said in his speech, You and I are one. I and you are one; this is not My body, it is your body. Looking after your body is your own duty, is it not! I never trouble Myself about My body; I make no resolve either that it should be healed or that this should happen.
