Passage 7

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

This is a great mistake. God never has any trouble at all. The Ānanda of the devotees is itself the Ānanda of God. There is no difference at all between your Ānanda and My Ānanda. But your Ānanda comes from trifling things. My Ānanda springs from the principle of the Ātma. What you give with Prema, though it be only the size of an atom, is great to Me. But even when you obtain something great, you are not so very content.

To love God fully is itself Bhakti

What does Guru Pūrṇimā truly mean? He who shows us the divine path is the guru. Pūrṇimā means the light of the holy moon. It is a symbol of the nature of the full mind. The full mind has no stains whatever. If there are stains of any kind in the mind, it is wrapped in darkness; it cannot give Ānanda. Make your mind shine with the principle of Prema. The foul smell in your mind will not go merely by reading books. The learning you have studied is only the size of an atom. But you think them great. Neither by learning, nor by positions, nor by authority can you attain God. God is seen in Prema alone. To love God fully is itself Bhakti.

Carry out your duty properly

What must you come to know on this Guru Pūrṇimā? Know that in front of you, behind you, below, above, everywhere, there is nothing but God. God is in you, with you, around you. God is in you, and He is outside you as well. In truth, you yourselves are the very form of God. First of all, recognise this truth. Give up crazy desires and carry out your duty properly. Do your duty sincerely. That itself is true sādhana. When you are working in the office, you must keep your attention on office matters alone.
