Passage 10

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

But what is your chief duty? To love God! That Prema is your chief aim. There is no property greater than that Prema. By that Prema alone your birth finds its fulfilment. So increase your Prema, Bangārū! Hiraṇyagarbha is in every human being. That is why I address you as ‘Bangārū!’ Ask any doctors or scientists anywhere and have yourselves tested... There are many metals in your body. Whatever power of attraction there is in the world is in your body too.

Get rid of the rust of bad qualities

Some, unable to understand the power of this ‘Divine Magnet’, say, “If there is power in it, why does it not attract us?” Does a magnet attract rusted iron? It does not. Just because it does not attract, does that mean it has no power? No, no. The fault is in the iron itself. The magnet does not attract it simply because ‘Rust & Dust’ have settled on it. If you clean that iron and set it there, the magnet attracts it at once. In the same way, get rid of the rust of bad qualities and bad feelings that has settled on your mind; in a single moment divinity will attract you. You need not toil much. You need not do many sādhanas to reach God. It is enough to grow the Prema of the heart. There is no purity greater than that. That very Prema is Transcendental Truth. In the three times, in the three worlds, in the three guṇas, wherever you look, that alone is there. Some read in books and speak of Transcendental Truth, but no one understands what it is. That is the divine power. It yields to nothing. It never changes. That is the true principle of the Ātma.

Swami's principle will become known in time to come

Embodiments of Prema! Such sacred Prema is to be had from divinity alone.
