In plain words
“Come, come, to our house, tender hero of the Raghus, I bow to You; come, come, to our house...”:
so he sang. He called Rāma ‘Rārā’. Must we not call God respectfully? If we call Him respectfully, ‘Please come, please sit,’ God becomes a stranger to us. Strangers we welcome with respect and courtesy. But an old friend we call from the heart, saying ‘Rārā’. We enjoy his friendship with great love and joy. In the same way, we must think of God as our old friend.
One who does not honour his parents is the worst of demons!
Embodiments of Prema! First make your heart pure. Only then can you feel God to be your own. Try to repay the debt to God. God moves in every atom and every particle of our body, protecting us. Who keeps the blood in your body from coming out? God alone! Because God has such compassion for you, He keeps the blood inside you and makes it move through all your limbs. You think your food protects you. It is not food, it is not blood. ‘God’ protects you. But where did the ‘blood’ in your body come from? It came from your parents' food itself. So first of all you must honour your parents and show them due gratitude. If you do not honour your parents today, tomorrow your children will not honour you. What use will it be then to sit weeping? One who does not honour his parents can only be called the worst of demons. You must not turn into such demons. First you must become human beings. Who is a mānava?
