In plain words
Embodiments of Prema! A man who has Ahaṅkāra is not loved even by the wife he married and the children born to him. The whole world loves the one who has no Ahaṅkāra. As long as there is anger, man cannot escape sorrow. As long as there are desires, the mind has no Śānti. As long as there is greed, man has no happiness. Every sorrow keeps pursuing the one who has greed.
Today, not only in the field of education but in every field, unrest, wrongdoing and misconduct are running riot. In every field, political, worldly, economic and spiritual, unrest is growing day by day. Whatever field man enters, wherever he goes, fear pursues him. This is precisely the effect of the faults within him! A man without fear is not to be seen in this world. Fear at home, fear in the street, fear in the office, fear at college, fear in the bazaar… Wherever you go, there is only fear! Where, then, is a place without fear? Only in temples filled with Prema for God is there no fear.
Once, Churchill, the British Prime Minister, said: Man has conquered everything, but he has not conquered himself. Man has conquered everything in the world, but he cannot conquer himself. The boy Prahlāda said this very thing boldly to his father: ‘You conquered all the worlds in a moment, but you cannot win over the host of your senses and your mind.’ Though man has made progress in every field, fear will not leave him. Fear has enveloped every man. The man who wants to drive fear far from him must develop Prema for God.
