In plain words
Wherever you may be, what protects you is divine Prema alone. Lay hold of that Prema. That itself is true sādhana. ‘Sā’ means sālokya, sāmīpya, sārūpya, sāyujya. Only what is joined with these four principles is true sādhana. Many people keep reading great big books. But no result at all comes from merely reading books. What was in the head came into the book. You are putting what is in the book back into the head. In this way book and head both become one. What is gained by that? Give up both book and head, and fill your heart with Prema. It will never change.
Long for divine Prema, worship it
Embodiments of the divine Ātma! The Ātma is divine. Recognise that principle of the Ātma. Some people find a little joy in physical sādhanas. But that joy is only physical. “The body is made of the five elements; the body must fall one day, without fail...” What came with the body goes with the body itself. But because we have built up relationships and ties for so long, we suffer greatly when the body goes. That is only natural! All these keep coming and going. We must not cling to such things that come and go. We must hold on to what is eternal, what is Satya. The Prema of God alone is eternal Satya. No one can describe it, saying it is like this or like that. It comes without end. Worldly love, love bound up with the body, comes and goes from moment to moment. It comes and goes. But the true principle of Prema comes from the heart. It comes and grows. It never diminishes. Hold fast to that true principle of Prema. It is not something anyone sells. It is not to be had from anyone but God. Once you have it, you will desire nothing; you will not need anything either. Even though you stay close to such a principle of Prema, why do you not long for it?
