In plain words
But at once she fell under the feeling of the body and thought that Kṛṣṇa was separate and she was separate. That was a mistake! In truth she is not separate from Kṛṣṇa. To think of Kṛṣṇa, who is one with her, as separate is nothing but delusion. Once Nārada said to Rādhā, “Mother! Who do you think you are? Rādhā is only the name given to your body! But you are sunk in the illusion that you are Rādhā. The body is never you at all. All is Kṛṣṇa! Kṛṣṇa’s reflection itself appears as your form.”
Think of all that you see as Divinity itself. Give no room to feelings of difference, ‘that one’ and ‘this one’. All are your reflections, not separate. Think of all as your ‘reflection, reaction, resound’. As you see yourself in a mirror, you appear to yourself in another way, as a ‘reflection’. Your own form appears to you as many forms. In truth, Divinity is within you. But if Divinity seems to be in someone else, you forget yourself and think of that person as God. Deluded by seeing ‘reflection, reaction, resound’, you forget the ‘reality’ that is within you.
If you go to a hilly place and shout ‘O’, at once it sounds as if someone else had shouted ‘O’. That sound is yours alone, not another’s, is it not! But you take it for another’s and go wrong. Wherever we look in this world, we hear only echoes; we see only our own reflections. All are embodiments of reflection! You are deluded that these reflections are Satya. When this delusion leaves you, then your original will appear to you in full. Taking oneness for diversity, you go wrong. That is exactly why you cannot recognize your true nature.
Sound and echo
A cowherd boy went behind the hills to graze the cattle. There, while the cattle grazed, he began singing some song to pass the time. From somewhere the song was heard coming back. Unable to recognize that it was an echo, the innocent boy thought that someone was singing just as he sang and mocking him. “Who are you?” he shouted loudly.
