Passage 8

In plain words

God is your companion in every way. Even when you eat just a handful of anything, do the remembrance of God's name and then eat. If you eat while remembering God's name, that very name settles in your heart. That is why our forebears, before eating a meal, would pray, “Brahmārpaṇaṃ brahmahaviḥ brahmāgnau brahmaṇāhutam brahmaiva tena gantavyaṃ brahmakarma samādhinā.” When you make the food you eat “Brahmārpaṇaṃ...”, at that very moment an answer comes from within you.

“Ahaṃ vaiśvānaro bhūtvāprāṇināṃ dehamāśritaḥ prāṇāpāna samāyuktaḥ pacā myannaṃ caturvidham.” “My dear! I am in you yourself, in the form of Vaiśvānara, digesting the food you have eaten,” God says from within. That is the resound, the reflection, the reaction! God's name gives us great Ānanda. So do nāmasmaraṇa without ceasing!
