Passage 7

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

At times we may have to suffer sorrow. Even when sorrow comes, we must hold it in check. Only then will true strength arise in us.

Students! You are children, with the long journey of life still to travel. When Parīkṣit was crowned, he was younger than you. Yet with unwavering faith in God and with courage he carried out his duty. You too must work for the good of society with such courage. You must keep praying to God to grant the strength to carry on such an ideal without ever letting it go. The Pāṇḍavas left this world long ago. But their ideals will remain as long as the moon, the stars and the sun endure. You are all very good children. You must conduct yourselves so that everyone takes you as their example. You must not give sorrow any room. You must not be afraid of anything. You must not become slaves to anyone. Surrender to God. Go forward boldly, with the thought, ‘God is there for everything.’
