In plain words
Your whole life has slipped away in work and chores: did you count this as sādhana? You eat your fill three times a day: did you count this as sādhana? You sleep at ease till your weariness is gone: did you count this as sādhana? Did God create you for this? Though you have intelligence, without coming to know, why let all your time go by in vain? Come to know God, now at least, and count this as sādhana.
Embodiments of Prema! They gave the name ‘God’ to the very consciousness that pervades all things. ‘God is the inner Ātma of all beings’: so it has always been said. But if one says that the power of God is contained in man, some will not accept it. Divinity shines in every living being. Not in man only; one and the same Ātma principle is present in all creatures. But to realise that Ātma, your heart must be pure and selfless. For that you must think of God. Only through thinking of God does your heart grow cool and grow white (become pure). The very moment the heart becomes pure, God is seen. This is the very sādhana you must do. Merely sitting with your eyes closed in the name of dhyāna, you will not see God.
