In plain words
If you keep your eyes on that oneness, multiplicity fades from view. If you think, ‘He is one thing, I am another’, multiplicity keeps growing.
You keep many photos of Sai Baba in your homes. However many photos there are, the Sai Baba in all of them is one. In the same way, only when you regard all as one will the truth dawn on you. Every word I Myself speak is the highest truth. But you lack faith. Believe this truth. All the rest is nothing but untruth. All of it is plunging devotees into delusion. One who truly has Bhakti believes, ‘God is one.’ Only when you strengthen such faith will the truth become clear to you. Once you know the truth, there will be no doubts. Know the truth. Do not revile anyone. Blame and praise, rejection and honour: all these are of your own making. Today someone may be your enemy. By tomorrow the two of you may be friends. In truth all are friends joined in oneness, not strangers.
Embodiments of Prema! You pray to God with great Prema. Make that faith and that Prema grow. Only then will you understand everything; you will give no room to any doubt. Doubt goes together with duality. In truth there is no duality of ‘he’ and ‘I’ at all. All is ‘I’ alone. Cultivate that feeling. Believe in oneness. If you do not believe that God is one, you end up worshipping one god and reviling another. We must take up oneness alone. Oneness is the very truth. If it does not seem true to you, leave it aside. But do not argue, ‘This is not true.’ Do not attribute duality to divinity. The father of all is God Himself. So develop oneness. You may not understand this today, but once you recognise the truth it will become perfectly clear.
(Swami, showing a bouquet of flowers...) This is a bouquet of flowers. When many flowers were strung together on one thread, it took shape as a bunch like this. Like the thread in these flowers, divinity lies hidden within everyone.
