In plain words
So whatever bad feeling arises in you towards anyone, it is something within you, not within them.
Whatever happens is for our good!
Some people are forever sunk in some thoughts or other. Those sunk in thoughts do not find even a trace of Ānanda. Ānanda arises only in those who are still, without thoughts. In the belief that you have intelligence in plenty, you go on probing deeply into what you have read and doing research. This ‘bookish knowledge’ is turning out to be nothing but an ‘allergy’. As soon as this ‘allergy’ begins, the ‘energy’ natural to you dwindles away. Man today only increases his ‘allergy’; he does not increase his ‘energy’. You need not even weigh the question, ‘Is this good for me or not?’ Everything is good. All things are good. Whatever happens, you should feel, ‘All this is for my good.’ If you go on feeling that way, only good will come to you.
Embodiments of Prema! Love all. Hate no one. Give no room in any way to misgivings about anyone. Some people have misgivings even about God. That is a greater sin still. It is the worst of sins. So do not give room to misgivings of that kind. When such thoughts come, think, ‘Away! These are my enemies,’ and push them aside. Always abide in Prema. Prema itself protects you. Prema itself sustains you. Prema itself guards you in every way. Why? You too are embodiments of Prema! Where there is Prema, hatred cannot enter.
Do not swell with joy, do not sink in sorrow
When Rāma was leaving for the forest, Kausalyā wept aloud. Sumitrā came: ‘Sister! Why weep? Because Rāma is going to the forest? You are mistaken in thinking that His home is the forest and ours is Ayodhyā.
