In plain words
But in today's children such feelings of love and respect towards their parents are not to be seen. This is not humanness. God has granted every human being a sacred intellect and the power of discrimination. Only one who puts them to good use is a true human being. Changing with the times in the name of modernity is foolishness.
Humanness blossoms only through Satya and Prema
One may change anything, in any land and in any age, but there is no one in this world who can change Satya. Only through Satya and Prema does humanness blossom and flourish. Today each one goes his own way as it occurs to him; people behave with petty minds, and no one shows a broad mind. What is important for society? What matters most for our country? We must inquire deeply into this. Only when man changes will the country change. The whole country rests on humanness. But we have forgotten humanness and are following Western ways. You must not change yourself like that, as your own fancy takes you. Let them keep their ways; your way must be yours. Each must follow his own ways without changing them. Prema itself is the chief trait of man. Prema is life itself. If Prema goes, it is as good as life gone! So, Embodiments of the divine Ātma! Embodiments of Prema! Hold Prema as foremost. Take Satya as your path. Only then will your life be fulfilled. You will attain divinity. You will attain purity. Nowhere, and under no circumstances whatever, must you try to change Satya. You must not overstep the bounds, saying, ‘This is my choice.’ You must follow the will of Prakṛti. If you go against Prakṛti, your very life will be ruined.
An ideal mother, an ideal son
Since you were born from your mother's womb, you must bring your mother a good name. Once upon a time, a great man lived in a village near Calcutta.
