In plain words
Your own Prema protects you; your own bad feelings punish you
‘Rāma, Rāma, Rāma’ means ‘Prema, Prema, Prema’. The principle of Prema itself is the principle of Rāma. The principle of the Ātma itself is the principle of Rāma. Some are fond of ‘Rāma’. Some are fond of ‘Kṛṣṇa’. Some are fond of ‘Sāī’. To the divine power immanent in all these forms and names they gave the name ‘Ātma’. The principle of the Ātma has no particular form and no name. The Ātma itself is called ‘Brahman’. ‘Brahman is Satya; the world is illusory.’ The principle of Brahman is beyond the pairs of opposites, free of the three guṇas. Brahman has no guṇas whatever. Brahman is never the one who protects or punishes anyone. The pure, unwavering, selfless principle of Prema that fills your heart is what protects you. Only the bad feelings in you punish you. So foster Prema alone; that is enough. At all times that itself will guard you. There is no protection in this world greater than Prema, none at all. There is no enemy greater than hatred. In the very word ‘Prema’ there is so much sweetness. So fill your words with Prema. Lead your life joyfully, with Prema and Prema alone.
