Passage 9

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

From purity alone, divinity comes forth. So we must live with one another as brothers, as sisters. If ever anger comes, we must recognise, ‘This is my enemy,’ and put it away from us at once. Kāma, krodha, lobha, moha, mada and mātsarya: all six are enemies that torment a human being.

Embodiments of the divine Ātma! None of you is an ordinary human being. You have given each form a name only to tell it apart, but all of you are embodiments of the Ātma! May all of you live in well-being, in happiness, in comfort and in joy! Without true Bhakti you will not gain Śānti. So you must develop Bhakti, My dear ones! You must be in ‘devotion’, not in the ‘deep ocean’. It is this ‘devotion’ that brings you near to the ‘Divine’.
