In plain words
In this way I used to write songs and have the children sing them, to rid the people of their craze for fashions and plant noble feelings in them. From little children to the elders, I kept bringing change in everyone. From today we must set about bringing the right change in the villages. There is no need to turn villages into towns. I do not like changing them that way. First they must be made clean. In the towns everything is bad! To look at, they put on smart pants, shirts and ties. But look inside, and every feeling is bad! Whatever white dress you put on outside, you must have feelings just as pure inside too. First bring the right change in yourselves, then change the world too.
The other day three children told the Burra Katha of Easwaramma very well. They described Subbamma well too. It gave Me great joy. No one has written in this way. (Swami called the three children and their teacher, Sri Kṛṣṇa Bhāskar, onto the stage, presented them with new clothes, had photographs taken with them, and blessed them.)
