Passage 5

In plain words

Purity of citta itself is the attainment of Jñāna

If impurity enters the mind, everything is spoiled. Now, through pollution, even water has been spoiled. If the impurity in the mind is to go, the treatment fit for it is nothing but remembering the Name of God! Through water pollution the body falls ill. We certainly must protect the body too, to some extent! Why did God give you this body? He gave it so that you might know yourself. But you forget that and set your whole mind on the body alone. What is there in the body! Body is like a water bubble. Mind is like a mad monkey. Don't follow the body, don't follow the mind. Follow the conscience. If you learn that, you will be blessed beyond measure. Purity of citta itself is the attainment of Jñāna. Only when citta is pure is Jñāna attained. So keep the mind pure. Whatever bad feelings may come into the mind, you must push them aside, saying, “This is not good; this has nothing to do with me.” “None of these are my possessions. Good thoughts, good feelings … these alone are my properties”: so you must think. Prema … Prema … Prema … Prema itself is God. Live in Prema. Then nothing but good will come to you in every way.

To see Satya, eleven seconds are enough!

Among you who are here now, ever so many have so many illusions, so many delusions. Yet you are pure in heart. There are sacred feelings in you. But now and then some impurity comes and settles. You must see that it does not settle. That itself is your sādhana. What, really, is sādhana? It is not sitting and doing japa and dhyāna. What do you think dhyāna is? You think it is sitting and thinking of some name of God. No, no. You must keep thinking of the sacred feeling that is within you. You must keep thinking of your own Satya. If I am really to tell you the secret, it can be told very subtly.
