Passage 1

In plain words

This Vijayadaśamī is a festival for all. But for some it has brought great sorrow. For it was on Vijayadaśamī that Bābā gave up His ‘old body’. But the body is only physical, only of this world.

One day, as Bābā gave Lakṣmībāī two gold coins: “Lakṣmībāī! Keep these two coins by you,” He told her. (Swami created those coins and showed them to the devotees.) These are those gold coins. These two are symbols of Satya and Dharma, which help in the work of the spirit. That is why Swami keeps saying, ‘Carry on the journey of your daily life with Satya, Dharma, Śānti and Prema.’ Satya is the Ātma. Dharma is the very duty we must carry out. So practise Dharma with Satya. This is the right sādhana. Satya and Dharma, these two alone, will protect you in every way; they will take away any number of troubles and losses, any sorrows. While you live your life in the body in this world, you must not let go of Satya and Dharma in the least. Satya in the heart, Dharma in the deeds: these are enough; no other sādhanas are needed.

Satya alone is eternal!

There are some hundreds of crores of people in this world. But the One who is in them all is one alone.
