In plain words
Even to those who have done us harm and injustice, we must give help. Toward them we must always have good thoughts alone. As the feeling, so the outcome. When our Buddhi is good, the deeds we do are all good deeds. If you eat a mango, will you get a cucumber belch? No, you get a mango belch and nothing else. Likewise, if there is goodness in our mind, we see only good. When there is nothing but badness in us, everything looks bad to us.
The Sri Sathya Sai University campus at Muddenahalli
At Muddenahalli, near Bangalore, there is a Sathya Sai college. Mindful of their situation, many people have kept helping them. They had classrooms built; they had a bhajan hall built. But that college does not belong to any university. If those who finish their studies there want to go on to a university, they must go to Bangalore. So when I saw it, a good thought came to Me. When you look at our university here, it is very beautiful, and it draws everyone. If we give them one just like it as well, how happy they will be! So the resolve arose in Me to establish a Sathya Sai University campus there, at Muddenahalli. My resolve never fails and never wavers. Since I have said it today, from tomorrow itself I will begin the work on it. The children there all come from the countryside. If they want to study for a degree, they must go to some town. They have no money in hand. So they give up their studies and take to farming. That too is necessary. But this material education helps material life. Once they have studied, they can go and do any work at all. If they study and take a job, they will earn some money as well. So I have resolved to set up our university campus at Muddenahalli and give them a good education. In it there must be a class to teach these three, the Bhāgavatam, the Bhagavad Gītā and the Rāmāyaṇa.
