Shall I go free of this prison? Shall I ever see Rāma's eyes again? Shall I see the eyes of that Śrī Rāma? Rāma, who wedded me long ago, has not come here on my trail; I who was never once parted from His embrace, now ten full months have passed. Shall I go free of this prison? Shall I ever see Rāma's eyes again? O Lakṣmaṇa, my dear brother-in-law, I spoke ill of you, good soul; the words of my mouth, so many, came out of me; why ever did I reproach you? Did you leave me and go, my son!
