Sri Maharshi read out a news item from a paper to the following effect: A forest guard armed with a rifle was going in the jungle and noticed two bright spots in a thicket. On closer approach to find out what they were, he was face to face with a huge tiger within a few yards of him. He threw down his gun, and assumed a prayerful attitude towards the jungle-king. The tiger stood up and slowly moved away without injuring him.
