I, and you, and Bhava; these sages who were born before us; gods, antigods and men; serpents, birds, beasts and creeping things; singers and dancers of heaven, yaksas, the hosts of raksasas and spirits and snakes; cattle, the fathers, the perfected, the holders of knowledge, the wandering bards, and the trees; and other living things of many kinds, at home in the water, on the land and in the sky; planets, star clusters, comets, stars, lightnings and thunders — all this is the Person alone: what has been, what will be, and what is now. By him this whole world is covered, and he stands over it by a hand's span.
