Bhagavan said: These two will go at once to the state of those who are not gods, and there a gathering held tight by fury will bind their yoga fast. Then they will come near me again before long. Know this, brahmins: the curse was appointed by me alone. Then those sages, having seen Vaikuntha, in whom the eyes find their delight, and that seat of his, unhindered and shining of itself, went round the Bhagavan, bowed low, took his leave, and went away full of joy, telling over the splendour that belongs to Visnu. Bhagavan said to the two attendants: Go, do not be afraid, may it be well with you. I could undo the brahmins' fire, but I do not wish to; this is what I have decided.

This was foretold long ago by Fortune in her anger, when she was kept back at the door as she was going in, and I was at rest. By a yoga made of fury turned on me you will get across the slighting of the brahmins, and in a very little time you will come back into my presence. Having so instructed the two who stood at the door, the Bhagavan entered his own seat, adorned with ranks of flying palaces and served by a splendour beyond all others.
