Bhagavan said: Knowing what was in your heart, I arranged that long ago, the very thing for which you have worshipped me by the rules you keep. Lord over creatures, worship given to me is never wasted, and least of all in the case of men like you, whose selves are wholly gathered up in me. The son of the lord of creatures, the emperor Manu, known far and wide as auspicious, lives in Brahmavarta and rules the earth with her seven seas. That royal seer, brahmin, who knows dharma well, will come here the day after tomorrow with his queen Satarupa, wanting to see you. Lord, he will give you his own daughter, whose eye-corners are dark, who has years and character and good qualities, and who is looking for a husband to match her.

She on whom your heart has been gathered all these years, that daughter of a king, will soon serve you, brahmin, as you desire.
