Murti, in whom every good quality has its birth, bore the two seers Nara and Narayana. At the birth of those two all this world was glad and content: minds grew clear, and the quarters, and the winds, and the rivers, and the mountains. Drums sounded in the sky, showers of flowers came down, the sages were pleased and praised them, and the gandharvas and the kinnaras sang. The women of the gods danced, and all was auspicious in the highest degree. The gods, Brahma and all of them, came and stood before them with praises. He who by a maya of his own made all this within himself, as though shapes were being told apart in the open sky, so that it might be looked at, has now shown himself in Dharma's house in the form of a seer, in these two. To that Person beyond, salutation.

Let this one, what he is being a thing only to be reasoned towards, look on us with a gaze of no small pity: on the hosts of gods, whom he brought forth out of clarity to quiet the disturbing of the standing order, a look that puts down the spotless lotus that is the home of Sri. So praised by the hosts of gods, dear one, the two Bhagavans, having been looked upon and honoured, went away to Gandhamadana. These two are portions of Hari, the Bhagavan, come here to take away the weight upon the earth: the two Krsnas, who bear up the Yadus and the Kurus.
