So, mighty-armed one, when the Unborn had won him over, Bhava was well pleased, and he laughed and said: Hear this. Lord of creatures, I do not speak of the wrong done by children whom the god's maya has overcome, and I do not brood on it. I only held the rod over them there. Let the lord of creatures, whose head was burned, have a head with a goat's face. Let Bhaga look at his own share of the offering through Mitra's eye. Let Pusan chew with the sacrificer's teeth, or else live on ground meal. And let those gods who gave me the leavings have all their limbs as they were. Let the other priests be given arms out of the arms of the Asvins, and hands out of the hands of Pusan; and let Bhrgu wear a goat's beard.

Then all beings heard what the most generous of givers had said, and being satisfied in themselves, dear one, they said: Well done, well done. Then the gods with Indra, and the sages with them, invited the generous one, and went back to that ground where the gods are worshipped, with the generous one and the ordainer among them. And having done in full what the revered Bhava had said, they fitted to Ka's body the head of the beast that had been set aside for the offering.
