The road your mother told you is the road to your highest good. The Bhagavan is Vasudeva; serve him, with your whole self leaning his way. Whoever wants for himself the good that goes by the names of dharma, wealth, desire and release: there is one thing that brings it, the serving of Hari's feet. So go, dear one, and good come to you, to the clean bank of the Yamuna, to the holy Madhuvana, where Hari is always close by. Bathe there at each of the three times in the kindly water of the Kalindi, do what is fitting, and stay on, with a seat made ready for yourself. With the threefold holding of the breath cast off slowly the stain of breath and senses and mind, and then hold the great one in mind, with a mind grown grave.
