13They sing verses that go with what he is. Ah, of all the islands and regions of this earth with its seven seas, this one is holiest, where the people sing the good deeds of the enemy of Mura and of his descents. 14Ah, the line of Priyavrata is washed clean with fame, for there the ancient Person, the first Person, made his descent and kept the dharma whose cause is no work at all. 15What other yogin could follow, even in his wishing, to the far end of him who is beyond becoming? He longs for the powers of yoga that Rsabha threw off as unreal, though they had made their own effort toward him. 16So the wholly clean conduct of the Bhagavan named Rsabha has been told, who is the highest teacher of all the Vedas, the worlds, the gods, the brahmins and the cows. It carries away every ill deed of men and is the home of the highest and greatest auspiciousness; and whoever hears it with attention and with trust grown full, or has it heard by others, in both of them there rises an undivided devotion to the Bhagavan Vasudeva.
17In that devotion the wise bathe again and again the self that is scorched without ceasing by the burning of the round of birth with its many wrongs; and by that highest ease they set no store even by final release, the highest end of man, though it comes to them unasked, for in belonging to the Bhagavan all their ends are already complete. 18King, he is master and teacher enough for you and for the Yadus, your god, your beloved, the head of your house, and now and then your servant. Let it be so, dear one: Mukunda the Bhagavan gives release to those who serve him, but the yoga of devotion he never gives. 19His thirst was gone, for he knew his own gain and never lost it; and out of pity he told the world, whose understanding had long slept to its own good through dealings with what it is not, of the fearless world of the self. To that Bhagavan, to Rsabha, salutation.
