20By this resolve of yours, hard even for the strong-minded, and by your standing fast in austerity, I am beaten, joy of Diti. 21So I give you every blessing, bull among the demons. You are mortal and I am not, and the sight of me does not go without fruit. 22Saying this, the god who was first of all sprinkled his body, eaten by the ants, with water from his pot, water of heaven whose giving never fails. 23And out of that anthill of bamboos he rose, filled with force and vigour and strength, every limb of him whole, his frame like a thunderbolt, young, the colour of heated gold, like fire out of the wood that feeds it. 24Looking up and seeing the god standing in the sky on his swan, he bowed his head to the ground, that sight being a great festival to him.
25He got up, hands joined, bending low, looking at the mighty one with his eyes; and with tears of gladness and his hair standing up, he praised him in a voice that broke.
