Three paces, measured by my foot· Verses 14–17

14Your father was Prahlada's son, who knew this and was tender to the twice-born; and when he was asked he gave his own life to the gods, who came to him in brahmin dress. 15You stand in the duties that were carried out by householders, by brahmins, by those born before you, by heroes, and by others whose fame knew no bounds. 16So from you, bull among the givers of boons, I ask a little land: three paces, lord of the Daityas, measured out by my own foot. 17I want nothing else from you, king, open-handed ruler of the world. A man who knows does not come by wrong when he takes no more than he has need of.
